Sanden International Goes Live on SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID) to Help Lower Days Sales Outstanding
August 6, 2012 — New York, NY
Sanden International (USA), Inc., manufacturer of air conditioning compressors for light vehicles, heavy trucks, agricultural equipment, construction vehicles, buses, and other special applications, has implemented SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID) in a Software-as-a-Service* (SaaS) environment to help lower DSO (days sales outstanding) and reduce invoice dispute cycle times through automation of collections and dispute workflow.
With AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID), Sanden International has migrated its manual, spreadsheet-intensive collections and dispute management processes to an automated, centralized environment that will help improve operational efficiencies; drive better collection strategies; assign, notify, and track disputes for timely resolution; and help increase cash flow. Deploying the solution in a SaaS-based environment will also help Sanden International benefit from reduced upfront costs, ease of implementation, automatic service upgrades and reduced IT resource requirements.
Markette Plummer, accounts receivable supervisor at Sanden International, said, “We implemented SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID) because it provides our required functionality and an experienced team of experts. We now have visibility into the cash coming into our organization and have the means to more efficiently collect that cash for increased cash flow. By opting to deploy AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID) in a SaaS-based environment, we have also been able to reduce our dependency on internal resources.”
C.J. Wimley, executive vice president, trade liquidity solutions at SunGard’s AvantGard business unit, said, “Using spreadsheets to manage accounts receivable and prioritizing collections based on aging alone are inefficient practices, but they are surprisingly common. Automation and workflow through AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID) helps companies like Sanden International prioritize collections using strategies based on configurable variables rather than aging alone. Disputes can also be isolated and assigned to specific owners for timely resolution within AvantGard Receivables (GETPAID), leaving collectors to focus on accounts with the highest potential for recovering past due balances.”
